eOffice® – The Social Network for Your Office™
eOffice® Network is part of an Industry wide movement – into the "Cloud."
Our goal is to help take you there and give you online service FOR FREE. We do this in the form of something called an “Online Office.” With an online office, you'll have all the familiar office tools you've used in the past . . . and more – from word processing, presentations and spreadsheets to email, fax and instant messaging, mixed with new applications like public and private social sharing utilities, telephone over the internet and programming tools that let you extend and control your online office and professional or private presence.
eOffice Corporation was founded in Scottsdale, Arizona over 17 years ago by Tom Gordon. It is privately held.
It's about paradigm shift and choice.
eOffice believes the disruptive shift to the "Cloud" is well underway and gaining traction, yet more people need to know they have this new choice. Sadly, the shift to the Cloud, at least for desktop office applications, continues to be hobbled by the old practices of a market giant. This means consumers continue to unwittingly wear blinders when buying new personal computer systems – they just don't know there are better alternatives!
eOffice will passionately endeavor to provide new choices and educate and inform people about best-in-class, open-source and cloud-based alternatives, which are in many ways superior, not because they are free, but because they actually ARE better. It's our way of saying “Yes, you do have a choice ”, “Yes, it's better”, “Yes, it's more secure” and “No, it won't cost you a dime!”
To make things better – that's all.
For 25 years, one company has done an outstanding job of controlling the operating system and the office software that comes pre-installed on new personal computers. And, to this day, people are still being corralled into paying $200-$500 extra for personal computers preloaded with operating systems and applications that in many ways are inferior to Free Alternatives.
But this won't last forever. Cracks in the “old-school” platform are surfacing in the form of open source software, cloud-based competitors and mobile devices. We simply want to contribute to this movement and to be there to help make things better, sooner – FOR THE COMMON GOOD
We promise to provide a Free Online Office to Everyone! . . . and to hopefully make the world of office computing a better place in the process.
The "Online Office" is really just a concept without a concise definition, but implementations of the concept are starting to have real impact! Looking forward, we see a bright future in online office services that put most (if not all) of your business communication activities online. You can count on eOffice® to be at the forefront of this effort and we look forward to serving you!
