The Chairman, Mr. Welch, called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. noting that this was both a continuation of the budget public hearing and a work session on that budget.

The members were joined by Richie Burke, who answered questions concerning the Emergency Management, E-911, and Building Office budgets.  Mr. McCarthy also answered questions concerning a number of budget items.

Consensus was achieved to make the following amendments to the draft budget:

Delete $35,000.00 from Budget 1101-3009 (intention is to push this project to FY2012)

Delete $7,000.00 from Budget 3401-1005

Delete $3,000.00 from Budget 5302-3004

It was also agreed that support for the Food Pantry, contained in line item 5101-5005 would take the form of a deer-for-the-needy program, the details of which would be determined with the County Administrator and the Food Pantry.

Finally, revenue losses due to Compensation Board decreases in funding to certain Constitutional officers would be addressed by a combination of further reductions in funding to those offices and by the County absorbing some of the increases, the final amounts to be determined upon completion of appeals processes instituted by several of those Constitutional Officers.

There being no one present to speak on the budget, on motion of Mr. Lee, seconded by Mr. Biniek, the public hearing was closed.  Motion passed unanimously.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM.
